Round Two

As most of you already know... We are so excited to announce baby number two! Due March 2014! 

Now, I know I am only 19 weeks along but man ... How many weeks do I have left!?  Everything is so much different this time around. With Ava all I wanted or I should say all I could eat was milk and cereal. This time its nothing but pepperoni pizza. Breakfast. Lunch, and dinner. No joke! 

With fall right around the corner I am trying to come up with a fun gender reveal idea. Any suggestions?

Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July!! We hope you had fun filled day and night! As Ava gets older, faster and wiser I thought our day was never going to end. -- I was ready for bed at 6pm! -- 

We started our day off with the coralville parade ... 

 

Followed by no nap .. We played in the pool at the cabin... 

Climbed in and out and in and out of this chair 100 times ...

Went for a boat ride down the Iowa river... 

And last but not least spent the weekend in Galena celebrating a friends wedding ..

It was also Tyler's birthday over the holiday weekend, we decided a little sunshine and a boat ride was the perfect way to celebrate! Cheers to 26 doll! Love you :)

Happy Fathers Day Weekend

Happy Fathers Day to all of the dads out there! Ava and I were lucky to be able to share this day with one truly amazing guy! 

Ava started the day off by jumping up and down on Tyler yelling DAD DAD DAD NOSE EYES ELBOW DAD DAD !! Once our house was awake we packed our bags and headed to the Des Moines Zoo! 

What's that you ask? Yep, they went for a ride on the camel. Ha! Tyler is still amazed that this camel weighed 2000lbs. Okay, I kind of am too. 

After those damn goats stole the cup of food I was going to feed them right from my hand in the matter of a second, Ava and I posed for a photo. 

Awe, too cute. Seriously though. Adorable. 

 

Well we ended our Father's Day with some cosmic bowling and a water park .. Needless to say it was a very fun and much needed day :) cheers!! 

Sweet Summertime

Hello and happy summer to all of you :) I can't believe how busy we have been already this summer! Ava is almost 18 months going on 18 years! This little girl is a wild child and always keeps me on my toes...

I wish I could understand her language that she throws my way all day long... although I can understand most of her words I still can't wrap my head around some of them. 

We are currently in the early stages of potty training because little miss Ava thinks its ok to go número dos and then pull it out of her diaper to show me what she's done. Ewww. Gross. Ugh...

On a sunnier note -- cheers to summer, Funny faces, & Summer Shandy! 

Ava Jo at 15 months

15 months? Really? Wasn't it just yesterday that my husband and I were jumping up and down in our bathroom because the pregnancy test said positive... Woo-wee time flies!!

Ava's new obsessions are:
- Dora the Explorer (or just yelling DORA DORA DORA)
- Puppy Too Small kids book
- Drinking out of a straw (still obsessed)
- Baby shark, Row your boat and Ring around the Rosie songs
- And last but not least turning on and off and on and off our light switches.
